What They Do
Enterprise Community Partners’ mission is to create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. One of the US’s original social enterprises, the organization brings together the people and resources to create affordable housing in strong neighborhoods. One of the programs The Kendeda Fund supports is Enterprise’s Design Leadership initiative, which offers fellowships, grants, and educational programs to advance sustainable design principles.
What We Love
A core value of the Design Leadership initiative is the greening of affordable housing through intentional design. The program seeks to improve upon design practices and raise development leaders’ capacity to produce more livable and sustainable housing. Through this initiative, Enterprise integrates healthy living for people, place, and planet—three of The Kendeda Fund’s favorite things.
