What They Do
Hopa Mountain’s Strengthening the Circle is a Native Nonprofit Leadership Program that aims to build the capacities of experienced and emerging nonprofit organizations that respond to the needs of American Indian families and communities. This Native Nonprofit Leadership Program consists of a four-day annual convening for executive directors and Board members with follow-up technical assistance and training throughout the year. Strengthening the Circle has impacted over 400 Native non-profit leaders in the Northwest and Great Plains.
What We Love
Hopa Mountain’s leadership has built enduring and trusted relationships with Native nonprofit leaders in the region and has helped empower and build the capacity of hundreds of organizations who are often working in very difficult circumstances where poverty and lack of resources are prevalent. Hopa blends skill-building strategies with native traditions to help leaders enhance their own skills as well as organizational strength and leadership capabilities, thereby impacting a broad swath of our region’s native community.
